For reference (raised by rozzin in IRC): * http://foldoc.org/module * http://foldoc.org/library * http://foldoc.org/plugin As noted by XRevan86, modules are not necessarily non-essential. As we will keep the modules directory in GS root [therefore, near to plugins/], it is evidenced the difference between both. This is a simple yet fundamental structural change. It doesn't change functionality but makes clearer the way we understand GNU social's internals. |

EmailRegistrationPlugin.php | ||
README |
The EmailRegistration plugin allows user registration with just an email address. When users register, the part before '@' in their email address will become their nickname/username (normalized). In case of collisions, a auto-increment number will be added to the username. For example, if someone registers with "user@example.org", their username will be "user". If someone else registers with "user@example.net", their username will be user1, and so on. Installation ============ add "addPlugin('EmailRegistration');" to the bottom of your config.php Note: This plugin is enabled by default on private instances. Settings ======== none Example ======= addPlugin('EmailRegistration');
